I think this sound track mode is very useful for folks (like me)who still watching old VHS tapes, LDs, may be some music CDs and regular (taped or live)TV broadscast (not SAT TV...mini disc ), a tremendous improvement (in the rear channels) over the old DPL mode.

I only use DPLII if one of my games supports it.

you watch TV program with surround sound features on 2 channels only?
