What audio settings should I select on my Blu ray for the best 2-channel sound from digital coax output to my Benchmark DAC1. Would it be "PCM" and "Do not down convert" for example? Or Bitstream???

You'd get the best sound by getting three more speakers :D

I could be wrong on this, but if you select PCM won't the DVD then be doing the DAC conversion? Does the "do not down convert" deal with whether or not 5.1 is converted to 2 channel inside the player?
I think bitstream is the way to go. But again, I could be wrong :)

would it be "PCM" and "Do not down convert"
Yes,this will ensure that the DAC is getting highest resolution data from the player.

If he invites over 1.5 friends, he will be there.....

Thanks all. The Panasonic had re-adjusted itself to PCM/No down conversion. I guess it senses the digital connection some how?
oh, and btw 2-Channel forever that is all....:D

Excellent, good to see its working out. I run 2 channel in the bedroom with HD DVD setup.
