YES!

They got Christian Bale to play the main role... Impressive. and we didn't have to wait 10 years for this one! Most excellent. Another one for 2009... I feel a ground breaking year at the box-office!

Hmmmm... not sure I like the idea as T3 was horrible. But I do like Bale! Hopefully this doesn't ruin the TV series going right now which is pretty BA thus far!

Agree..But..... the story is still awsome. Acting and screen write can improve, but the story is always there for me.

Hmmm. T3 was weak but not a bad movie. The clowning of the terminator I didn't care for. He is suppost to be scary and they clowned him.

The Tv show is hit or miss. I watch it with the hopes it gets better. It's not horrible or anything but I'm not really sure about it.

I do however like the idea of this part of the story. It's what I have always wanted out of it. I wanted to see more of the future and how all the resistance came about.

I'm crossing my fingers.

Two quick things :

1. Someone actually bought the rights to THREE more Terminator movies.

2. Christian Bale is only "rumored", I haven't seen anything confirmed saying he's going to be in this. I'd be very surprised, honestly.

You guys got my heart racing with Christian Bale until I saw 'rumored'.

Hmm I personally enjoyed T3 a lot. It was direct and to the point.

I hated T3. I think its because the first 2 are all time action classics.

I'd love to see T4 concentrate on the war between the humans and
machines. We get glimpses of it in the other movies and only
hint of it on the series.

I agree about the 'clowning' of the terminator. The opening sequence in Terminator 2, Arnold entering the Pool Hall and kicking the crap out of everyone was the coolest, ending with the bad to teh bone music and driving off on a Harley ... classic. But than they ruined that in the 3rd with some stupid parody of him going into a male strip joint .... sure it was funny but that should have been in 'Scary Movie 17' or something that makes fun of sci-fi and horror movies. Also Im not a fan of female terminators, like in Terminator 3 or in the Sarah Conner Chronicles ... I guess Im just stuck in the Arnold, Stallone, Van Damme, Dolph Lungdren days but that just my sexist opinion ... when there is a war in the future I dont want to see a troop of Spice Girls marching through the trenches of the future fixing their hair and make up.

They did this switch in the first Alien versus Predator as well where they ruined the movie making it a PG 13 movie rather than the R rating it had historically been, turning it into a Wednesday night Wrestling match b/w aliens and predators rather than the Horror Sci-Fi it should be. And than worse it made the predators the humans' allies .... it will be hard to view the predators as scary beings after them being buddy buddy with humans. Sorry I veered from the original Terminator topic but there are some similarities in how directors stray too much from the core theme that makes the series shine.

This is the problem with having different directors and writers each sequel. They take these franchises into different directions and forget the origins of the series.

Hmm, interesting. A Terminator movie with no Schwarzenegger. I'm afraid I'm not seeing a reason to see it.

Though I'm sure that won't stop me.

Ya, but in the future, the Terminator's don't have skin anyways... so what difference does it make? This is the film I've been waiting for ever since the 2nd one came out!

Earth is history (As we know it) and it's the resistance vs. machine! Bring it on!!!
