Hello All,

I have a pair of 10C's and one of the polies must be going because the tweeter shuts off. I opened them up to try and find those little brown/mustard colored polies that were in my 1.2tl's but all I see is blue ones.

I guess these blue ones are a different rating than the Mustard ones?, Can I also get these from Polk?

Thanks!

As long as decent amplification is being applied to them, you can bypass them.

I'm thinking that if those speakers are not fused, then that appears to be the poly,I'd call polk and either confirm/replace or just "jump em"

I'm most likely selling these and my 2A's, so i'm going to replace the poly switch.

Mike, do you remember which one had the bad poly?, If you don't it's ok, I will just replace both.

I'll call Polk tomorrow,

I want to clear out all my speakers and make room for my next pair of SRS's

I found a pair of SRS 2's First Generation (blade/blade) with (8) 6509's. The drivers are mint. The Top & Bottom plates are a mess but that's fine with me, I see some FIGURED BUBINGA tops and bottoms in my future :)

Sorry, I don't remember. I would eliminate both to prevent further problems down the road though.

Just bypass the polys with a piece of wire to figure out if those are them. If so, just take the wire back off, call Polk, then replace them.

Yes, the small blue part is the poly switch. I had a pair of 5B's with the exact same Poly in the same position. Replace with correct part from Polk or bypass if you feel you will NEVER overdrive them. If you like to listen loud then just replace them.

H9Sal, you're giving these to your brother correct? If he's anything like you, replace them. :D

Actually I might be selling them to my cousin's boyfriend. They may be coming by tomorrow to try them out.
