Speakers are now SOLD!

I hope this isn't in violation of the rules of this forum since I am not 100% sure I will be selling, but I am seriously considering parting with my RT5000 system. This is the complete package of RT3000 fronts, a CS1000 center and fx1000s rears. They are all in very good condition with the following caveats:

1. The sub amp in the right RT3000 has recently required service. This has been fixed by Polk and is running again at 100%.
2. The binding post on one of the fx1000s broke. Since I was not doing any biamping or biwiring, a friend of mine who does audio work for a living soldered the plate between the two posts. Shouldn't affect SQ and isn't a problem unless you are biamping/biwiring the rears.

Rosewood finish and in all other areas excellent condition and working perfectly. I am the original owner and bought these back in 2001 from CC. I think I still have the receipts if desired for proof of purchase.

I would strongly prefer local pickup, especially for the RT3000s, as they will be difficult to ship. Also, I am still trying to come up with a fair polkie price for the speakers (if anyone who isn't interesting in them has suggestions, they are welcome :)). I am by no means trying to make a killing here, but I would also like to get a reasonable value as the impetus for selling these is to upgrade to the LSI series. I would gladly consider trades on LSI 15s, LSI C or LSI fxs.

Anyway, I guess I'd like to gauge what level of interest there may be in these items. I'd like to have some level of confidence in moving these speakers before I pull the trigger on the LSI 15s.

I will try to provide pictures later tonight.

You won't get too many responses unless you state a price; If you're thinking of selling them, you have a price in mind. Also pictures will help.

+1 Ricardo.

We don't do auction style sales here. You have to give a price.

I wasn't trying to implement an auction! I was just trying to determine if there was interest out there. I'll come up with a price and post pictures tonight.

Here are some photos of the front mains and center channel. Someone else has expressed interest in the fx1000s so I won't post them unless that deal falls through.

The fronts are in great shape. There is a minor bit of peeling on the back of the right rear where the sub amp is screwed in. I tried to illustrate it with a photo, but it is quite minor. Also, the grill on the front left has a minor scuff or two. Again, pointed out with my amazing MS paint skills. :) The center channel is in even better condition.

Just to reiterate I will give preference to those who can pick them up. I would rather not ship them, especially the RT3000s.

As for prices, I searched through the forum to see what others had sold these for and figured the following would be reasonable. If they aren't, well you guys wouldn't help me when I politely asked for help... :)

RT3000s - $750 + shipping
CS1000 - $450 + shipping

Also, I forgot to mention I have the original manuals, if that matters to you.

The fx1000s have been SOLD.

I'm dropping the price to $700 for the mains and $400 for the center.

Anyone interested? If not, I may be moving to ebay/audiogon. I don't have a problem shipping the center. I'm considering shipping the mains, but a local buyer for them would still be my preference.

Thanks to Mhartman29 for the FX's. It was a pleasure to do buisiness with Mhartman29. He shipped fast, had communication and took extra care in the packaging of the speakers.

I would highly recommend doing business with him if the oppertunity presents itself.

Well, the RT3000s and the CS1000 are now gone. Sorry hirting, I got a really good offer from a local guy. And as much as I wanted to send them to you, I really feared what might happen to the RT3000s in transit.

Enjoy the fx1000s!!!
