I've been piecing together a "budget" HT setup for the last month or so and I've hit a snag in my plans. I'm having a hard time finding a center channel to go with the setup I have so far.

Onkyo TX-SR705(on order)
2x Polk RTi8's Blk Oak(have)
2x Polk RTi4's Blk Oak(have)
Bic h-100(on order)

I wanted a CSi3(5 is too large) but I'm having a tough time finding one in Black Oak. What do you guys recommend as an alternative at around the $200 price point?

You should try to keep the front stage matching. Why not a CS1? I think they are right at 200.00.

You think the CS1 will be able to keep up with the RTi8's up front?

Forget it, the CSi3's(cherry) are just too much of a deal right now to pass up. I'll just paint them or cover them with some kind of black material.

get csi3....CS1 will not be match compared to CSi3....besides it's on sale at amazon at $99 plus shipping...

I have a csi3 and let me tell you it's a good speaker. I bought one due to size restrictions in my cabinet. I am very impressed with it. It's Xover @ 80. I am also using a 200W monoblock on it. I would like to get the 5 or the new version of it, now, only cause I can.

But go with the csi3 over the other mentioned the cs.

Alot of you here probably know alot more about the Polks than I do.I do have to say though, when I was auditioning the RTi10's at Frys I was playing them along with the CS1 with an Onkyo 805 I was pretty impressed.I gave them a nice work out and I wouldnt have hesitated buying that setup for one second. Now granted the CS3 sounded very nice too,but for the price I was very impresses with the CS1.

That's a sick price on the cherry CSi3. Almost makes me want to set up a second system of cherry RTi's. I managed to luck into a black CSi3 off craigslist but if I was still looking I would order this is a second not caring about mismatched cherry and black speakers.

Timbre is either Csi3 or Csi5

Hard to pass up the CSi3 for $100.. grab it before it's gone! Too bad the black inventory seems to be completely gone.
