Okay, self disclosure. I have never owned a set of Polk speakes. I was at a Salvation Army store yesterday and spotted some huge speakers on stands. After seeing the price of $65 I just knew that I better grab them.

OKAY, So heres the problem:
There is nothing on the back of the speaker that I can find that indicates what model they are and I am hoping someone can help me.
Here is a basic description of the speakers, (please keep in mind that other than having a rightous system for a few years in the early 1990's, i dont know bupkus about speakers, other then apreciating great sound)

These speakers look to have a bass, a midrange and a tweeter. It also has a fuse on the back. They are very heavy and they came with stands attached.

If I had to guess I would say the wood looks like it is pressed with a brown veneer on them.

If you have any idea what these are please help.

Thanks,
Jeff

Sounds as though you may have found a pair of Monitor 7s.....which version?....I'd have to see pics.

I'm not home right now, but my best recollection of the tweeter is that its about 3" in diameter attached above the midrange with a metal rectangular plate.

The dome tweeter is a 1" dome with a 3x4 matel plate. The design of the dome would say alot. Is is black, white (clear) or silver?

You can store the pics on your 'puter and then import them to Polk through the "attachment manager" which is located just below the "Reply to Thread" box in the box labeled "Additional Options". It will appear as a thumbnail in your post.

(Or you can retrieve it from website storage and it will be full picture size, but that's another process.)
