I have found some M10's locally. I was wondering what you guys think. From the way his ad reads I think he is saying he is the orginal owner. I don't need these speakers at all. But..... I am pretty sure I could get them for $75 or less considereing one of them needs a peerless tweet. I am going to give him a call today to see if he still has them. Is there anything I should look for or ask about before buying these? Thanks in advance.

Those are peerless models, I'd jump on those if I were local. I'm sure you could get him down to at least $50 since one needs a new tweet.

Thats what I was thinking. I am very excited!! I just didn't want to jump before posting about them on the forum. I didn't know with the tweet being bad if there could possible be something wrong with the crossover also. I figure even if there was its nothing that probably couldn't be fixed and or upgraded.
The crossover would be a easier fix since the parts are more readily available.

He sold them yesterday. Figures.... The first time I ever see anything on my local craigslist and they are sold the day before I call. Oh well. I was looking for a SDA anyway. Maybe something will pop up. I just have to check more often. I think those tens have been on there for about a month. He was probably ready to give them away.

Rule 1
Jump first
Rule 2
Post after jumping

This is a pretty amazing coincidence. I was the guy that bought them the day before you called. They look and sound great (minus the blown speaker) and they came with the original stands too. He thought the tweeter was out. Turns out it is the left mid-range. So now, anyone know where I can find a mid-range?
Polk still sells them. Give them a call Monday.

many people on this forum have driven hours to pick of SDA's instead of having them shipped.. it's the best way to purchase a pair of large speakers. I drove 6 hours each way when I picked up my pair of SDA's, twice.. once for a pair of SRS's, then two years later for a pair of SDA2B's that I use now. i would never have someone try and ship those to me without some damage or extremly high shipping costs.
get your butt on the road and find some SDA's. :)
