I don't still have my 50's, but they are a very nice sounding speaker. Not as full and robust as the LS-90's, but they are half the size and have half the drivers, too. They are what most people would term as a warmer sounding speaker. I did not like the vinyl covering, the 70s and 90s are real wood veneer.

I had a pair for about 15 years and, overall, they were good speakers. A little weak on bass and not as clear and rich sounding as the LSi9's that replaced them.....but still, a nice speaker.

There are some for sale on local craigslist (Dallas) for $175, I think. They look pretty nice. Russman has some experience with their bigger brothers, either the 70s, 90s or maybe both.

I think if you can get a pair for a couple hundred bucks in good condition, I think they'd be a very good snag.

The LS90 is the balls....the smaller children never excited me.
