i have a kenwood kac 7252 amp and heres the specs for it

two-channel car amplifier
170 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms (250 watts x 2 at 2 ohms)
500 watts RMS x 1 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)
high- and low-pass filters (50-200 Hz, 12 dB/octave high and 24 dB/octave low) per octave)
variable bass boost with wired remote (0-18 dB, 40-100 Hz)
MOSFET power supply
Tri-way capable (Tri-Way Crossover required)
CEA-2006 compliant
cooling fan
preamp- and speaker-level inputs
preamp outputs
fuse rating: 40A x 1

i have it hooked up to the polk db212 sub enclosure. i keep blowing the fuse on my amp. can someone help me on wiring it to this or amp or let me know if i need to get a different amp...

There could be something wrong with your wiring. I always blew the fuse on the battery when the ground wasnt good enough. It could be multiple things though, but I bet its not the amp. Check all of the power and ground connections. (sand the spot that you grounded to bare metal).

Problem is the polk box is a 2 ohm load, your amp isnt 2 ohm stable when bridged. Basically ur makin the amp do somethin its not supposed to so its overheating and drawing too much current, in short eventually the amp will fail

Solution - new amp thats a monoblock

Penta is right. Youre putting a 2 ohm load on an amp that certainly isnt able to do that. You want to look for a mono block doing its RMS at 2 ohms.

Anything from MTX, Rockford Fosgate, Alpine or Kicker in your price range that can handle a 2 ohm mono load and makes 600-800 watts RMS.

just hook it up and it will see the 2ohm load from your box
just ocnnect the wire from polk terminal to the amp
