The explanation is simple and has nothing to do with dyslexia. The human mind doesn't read words and letters. Only when you first start to read do you do that. After a few years of reading, your mind starts to recognize patterns and you are reading the patterns of common words instead of the actual words. That's why common spelling and typing mistakes can get overlooked so often.

Im able to read it fine.
My addendum to this is that it helps if the "tall" letters are in close to the right place as well. The only reason people can read so fast is that we skip most of the letters and as someone said, look for the known patterns.

I could read it fine. If you want a real challenge, try reading something that has been spelled out phonetically. That stuff is pretty crazy. I'll see if I can find some examples.

I wonder how this facters into speed reading? I know I'm not to read out every word in my mind but that's easier said then done after decades of reading that way.
Sorry for hjincaikg.

I learned how to "speed read" in the service. You don't look at every word, just the structure of it. It helped with studying. just scan the whole page and look for key words, then back up, and see what the reference is.
Reading for pleasure is a different story.
