When you get the stand out of there, you should have a better acoustical response in the room. That's a lot of space you just opened up in that room Trey. Hooking and unhooking the gear should be a hell of a lot easier as well.

Should get rid of that "coffee table" type thing too.

The coffee table thing is the TV stand. That's why he has to get it out of the room. ;)

Sweet, thanks for the pic, Sid. Now everytime my GF starts to bitch about all the gear I have cluttering up our apartment, I can show her that photo and give her the ol' "could be worse, I could be this guy" routine.
Does VPMS recommend using their subs as tv stands? Will the TV not vibrate around a bit?

That was my first thought. That can't be good for the TV.

I second this statement.

I was more worried about the nice CDP located right between the two, and is that a zune in front of one of the woofers?
I have the subs turned up very very minimal... Probally 15-20% on the volume knob... IF that (just filler response)...
I have it on "max" right now -- nothing is vibrating off...
The subs weigh 140 pounds a pop... they are not light weights... for sure....
To put it in perspective, I put my hand on the base of the TV stand and felt almost no vibrations... :)
I definitely plan on getting some foam isolation blocks to put on the floor between the gear... Rome wasnt built in a day...
And yes, that is a Zune
And yes... there is an IMMEDIATE difference in soundstaging and definition... particularly behind and beside the speakers... and the center seems more open and dynamic...
Immediate changes

No, the photo in the frame, in front of the speaker.

No need to worry about those subs vibrating. Heavy bastards. Besides, the drivers hardly move. Just gotta be a bit concerned about all the toys and other crap hanging around those subs.
Sid -- did you sell the TII's yet?

Oh, and I take it that you got the Candela repaired?
F1, it looks to be a pic taken of a bunch of rednecks at his house :p. If it were PF, you would see Ted's speaker's in the background and stairs leading up.
I havnt got it repaired yet...
Sounds to sweet to send it off! lol
I did borrow an Acurus preamp to test it out to make sure, 100% sure it was the preamp... just havnt had the time...

I'd have ADD in that room
The Largers are great, have great texture, tone and quickness --- havnt heard them miss a beat yet and everyone thats heard the rig cant find them in the music, cant complain a bit except I hate Brian

I had no idea the pair of Stratos were so huge...
I too am thinking up ideas for amp stands for a similar arrangement as you have, only mine aren't so freakin' massive.
Yeah the amps were kind of dwarfed to the TV stand, they really are just... massive... and heavy amps too... 60-70 pounds Id say per amp...
