No reserve & this guy is sitting pretty low with an endtime fairly late tonight for the east coast. Looking at his previous items I'd say this is a safe trader & right now it looks like someone might get a deal...

you must've jinxed it. Looks like it's already up over a grand. Hopefully, it won't go too high, I've had it on my watch list for a couple days.

yep... it just popped up some more. Sat at $500 for a long time. Still $1300 to $3500 is a ways to go in the next few hours.

There is one on CAM out of Quebec for $2800 CD.
Sorry this one is the SACD player.

If it was 9/10 or even 8/10, it should go for $3000 to $3500, but it's a 5/10, 6/10 at best. I think the end price will reflect that.

The damage to the unit would eat me up inside. He must have feet for hands.

Not bad at all... considering the cosmetics, I'd still call it about $700 less than it's worth. I've got something else lined up that looks like it'll go low, but I'm not telling you guys about that one :D

Physical condition is very important and factors more into the price than you may think.

no kidding, what other abuse has the equipment seen?

$1900 is a good price, but you never know when you buy something off ebay. I've had stuff described as in "great condition" arrive looking like it was kicked down a flight of stairs.

I'm guessing someone took this in trade or through auction and isn't the original owner. So, who knows what else is wrong with it.

If Musical Fidelity was a US company, or had more service places here, maybe I would take a flier on it and then you know you can get it fixed right if something goes wrong. I bought a Marantz SA-8260 recently that started acting up, but looks like I'll be able to get it fixed under warranty without a problem.
