Hello,
I thought I'd share a couple of really good sounding records:
"The Ozark Mountain Daredevils" (called the "quilt" album) 1973 engineered by Glyn Johns
"New Riders of the Purple Sage" first ablum with Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart and Commander Cody, engineered by Steven Barncard.
Enjoy, Ken

Hello,
Glyn Johns was the first person to put together the recordings for the Beatles' "Let It Be" album. It was supposed to be called "Get Back" with Johns going back to a more "basic" Beatles sound. But the job was then given to Phil "Wall of Sound" Spector and the result is what, most people, regard as the least of the Beatles' albums.
Steven Barncard was the engineer for David Crosby's "If Only I Could Remember My Name" and some great sounding Graham Nash albums. His web site is pretty interesting, allot of insights on his early recording studio.
