I'd have to say "A Christmas Story" would be mine. Seems like I never get tired of watching that one. Hilarious!

"It's a Wonderful Life" - I was watching this movie on a VHS tape that I had recorded off of TV long before it became "popular".

Miracle on 34th Street. I like It's a Wonderful Life more, but Miracle gets me more festive.

A Christmas Story is on of my favorite movies, and so is The Santa Clause....Tim Allen is a hero in my house!!

A Christmas Story was an awesome movie.

I can watch that movie every holiday season and never get sick of it.

RonP's vote will be 'A Nightmare before Xmas'.

I'll vote for Miracle on 34th. Additionally, even though the sequels BLOWED, Home Alone was a must-see.

A christmas Story is just one of those classics that never die.. Just not the holiday season without it.

Nightmare before Christmas - Hmmm havent seen that in years.

Home Alone! haha Now that brings me back - havent seen that in years as well!

I vote for "It's a Wonderful Life" then "Miracle on 34th Street" For our DTS friends go with "Nighmare Before Christmas."

I think "It's A Wonderful Life" remains the ubiquitous Christmas movie. We usually watch it once a year, as close to Christmas Eve as possible. I think it best touches those warm feelings everyone seems to be able to conjur up at Christmas-time.

A Christmas Carol - the old one with Allistair Simms. For me, this has replaced It's A Wonderful Life as my once-a-year sure thing. I think SOME version of Dicken's story is a must at Christmas. Book is a good read. I just bought a $7 VHS animated musical version for my kids.

For pure entertainment pleasure, I vote for Christmas Vacation. I love the stupid humor, but this movie also really touches on the spirit of Christmas, getting carried away with commercialism, etc. "If that thing had nine lives, she just spent'em all." And how can you not feel those warm Christmassy feelings when hearing "****ter was full."

I noticed no one else mentioned this.. and it isn't as well known.. but I *really* like Bill Murray in Scrooged. Notice the panhandler street band... Paul Schaefer, Miles Davis, David Sanborn...

We also like... but don't have a copy of.. A Christmas Story. Classic movie... fa ra ra ra raaaa, ra ra ra raaaaaaaa....

We've also got copies in varying degrees of quality of Rudolph, Frosty, the Bloom County Christmas special that has aired only once, Charlie Brown, the mouse and the clock one, Grinch, etc etc etc. We bought The Santa Clause this year.. but won't be bothering with Jim Carey's Grinch.

Actually.. while not exactly a Christmas movie.. though sort of.. I think TOYS is a pretty good fantasy movie. Don't go in expecting reality, and you might enjoy it.

Anyone notice how VCRs and cable and video tapes have really changed the "importance" of TV scheduling? I remember when A Charlie Brown Christmas was an EVENT... it was on once a year, usually on a Friday night.. and if you missed it this year, you missed it. Not any more.. my daughter has seen it almost as often in her five years as I did in my first 18!

I have to go with a Christmas Story as well. Some close seconds were all of the Christmas cartoons like Charlie Brown, Rudolph the red nosed raindeer, and so on.

The nightmare before Christmas is slowly becoming one of my newer favorites.
