So guys, what vintage polk audio speakers are worth buying/collecting in terms of outstanding sound quality? This way, when I see it on craigslist/ebay and if I have extra money, I'll grab it. :)

I know 11Ts are on the list now. :)

1. RTA 11Ts, 11TLs - $150-$300
2.
3.
4.
5.

WOW!!! is LS 90 in the SDA line? And am I correct that SDA is somewhat similar to what other companies call Studio or Reference version?

So #1 being the best sounding?

Thanks.

EDIT: The looks of SRS 1.2TL's is very beautiful. :)

I always thought the SDA1C's had the best mix of it all. I probably would switch the RTA's and the CRS's. But that is the order I would go in personally. The 1.2TL's are more for the wow factor. They really are a nice speaker but huge. Hard to get them past the wife.

Makes me want to go out and get a collection going myself.

Start with the smaller ones, they take up less space, and may satisfy your collection desires. The big ones are....well, big.

dude, did you club the guy with a baton for that deal?...LOL
you robbed him good!

thats a bad @ss front soundstage at any price, much less the price you got it for. your gonna have that for a while, because your not gonna get much better unless you spend SERIOUS bread on it.

I moved from that soundstage to all LSi. is it better? yeah, to a degree. but not by much, and I can see how some wouldn't like it better. (I like my sound a little laid back, but not all do) not to mention I spent some serious coin on it as well. I like the LSi better, but not dollar for dollar, thats for sure.

dollar for dollar, you aint gonna beat what you got, few if any can. have fun with that set up.

they (youre set up) don't need huge power, but they will enjoy it if you feel like upgrading amplification down the road. be more worried about clipping from under powering than overdriving them with power, as they can take serious power and pump seriously good and clean high volume sound when needed.

that set dropped a lot of jaws when I demoed it to friends and family. have a blast with it, I know I did :D

Guy had em in storage for 10 years...as well as a pair of LS 70's which he would now sell for $200....thinking of picking them up later this week..already way too many speakers in the house but even for the extra drivers figure its well worth it.......pic of them in the post...new additions..and yes I love em..took the place of new speakers that were close to $1300 a pair and I think they sound MUCH better.........IMHO
