All I can think is that he cut the domes off. But then you wouldn't hear much in the way of high frequencies at all.

Let me ask a dumb question....
What is it with the tendency of so many people to take something nice (like big speakers) and make them into something not-so-nice? I don't get it. I would so love to hang around some people who are actually interested in making things better. Maybe I'm just way out of touch.

I think only these speakers hackers can answer that one...as most here cherish their Polks....the more I listen to mine, the more I love em:D
