Hello All,
Has anybody ever used the following connectors?
http://www.summitsource.com/speaker-pin-connector-ap306-gold-2-pack-audio-12-16-gauge-cable-connector-pin-terminal-1-black-1-red-steren-part-ap306-p-6261.html
I just want to find out what the thickness is for those pins.
I want to see if I could use them to make a new IC cable for my pin/blade SDA's
Thanks, Sal

I have used ones or at least very similar.Did you want to know the diameter of the pin?It is about 2mm.
How many do you need?I have 8 unused gold flat style pins that I would gladly send you gratus.

Thank you GV, but at 2mm's I think they are too small. I think I need 1/8" or 3mm's to fit the pin socket snugly.

I use the same type of pin, if not the same model.
I'd say 2 mm is spot on. By feel(just checked), it is thinner than 2.5 mm .

From what I have read the pin is the same size as a rca center connector. But I use blade-blade so I dont use that myself. You dont need to connect the blade connector to make it work.

The pin is the same size as an RCA connector.
I think the best solution is to replace the connector with a banana jack. You can then use any wire you like with a standard banana (or bare wire, spades, etc.). That's what I did with mine, it makes for a much more solid connection.

Exactly, RCA plug for the pin, IEC blades for the blade.

Thanks William, that's a great idea. I wanted to try to make my own All Silver IC cable.
A friend of mine is a jewler and he's getting me 3" of silver tubing with an outside diameter of 0.125"
I will send that tubing to Ben and he will solder some 14 gauge stranded silver cable to the tubing and then shrink wrap it.
So I will make my own IC out of all silver. It should be pretty cool.
