I just wanted to see what everyones fav amp ideas are for the sr6500s. I definitely would like to biamp and like the quad amp idea that Toxis is using because of the versatility but dont want to spend that much. I found a 4 channel Zapco Ref1000.4 I've been considering but would like some input before making a decision.

I've used the SR6500's with an Audison LRx 5.1K, running active. 2x60 watts rms for the tweeters, 2x160 watts rms for the woofers. Very nice sounding combo. Zapco reference would be a good match.

consider I have 2 amps that have totally identical specs except for the fact that:
AMP A 100 watts x 4@ 4 ohms
AMP B 100 watts x 4@ 2 ohms
if I were to use AMP A with 4 ohm speakers and
AMP B with 2 ohm speakers
would there be any sonic difference?
would this difference affect the amp or speakers differently?
