Is there a big difference in sound between:

A: Having my CSi3 below the tv (near the ground) tilted up towards the listeners

or

B: Having my CSi3 on a mount on top of the TV?

It's a 65" Mitsubishi DLP WD-65733. With the stand the TV is probably around 5 feet off the ground.

Is it better to have the center at the top of the TV? Or does it even matter?

Personal preference.

I held my CSi A6 over the TV and undr and my daughter liked the sound under better.

I have to have a rise built to lift our 50" Panny up higher off the stand so I can fit the CSi A6 under it so right now it's on the ground, tilt side down so it's firing up. It actually doesn't sound bad at all, but I know it'll sound much better once it's up off the floor and rug.

Also, mounting over the TV in our case would have looked ridiculous so under was the winner no matter what.

I prefer my center at ear level. Or as close to it as you can get.
Mine is sitting on top of my rack that holds my components. Ear level!

Yeah, there is no "ear" level when it comes to my TV.
It's so massive and my couch is low enough that the top of the TV is about 1 foot lower than my surrounds on the wall.
