Hello All,

I have a pair of SDA 2A's - Black Studio Versions with Pin/Blade Crossovers. I bought them for $237.50 on ebay last month. (1) of the mid-bass drivers is a Polk replacement and butyl is buckling so I will replace that with an original 6503? from my stock room.

I'd like to get $100 for these, ALL $100 will go towards new furniture for Ben in GA.

Local Pickup Please, I will even drive up to 75 miles to bring them to you!

If for some reason people want to pay more then every cent I get will go towards Ben's new furniture.

I have to pull them out of a closet to take pictures, but for 100 bucks and if you are local then this is a no brainer.

They are Pin/Blade, totally upgradable to the 4.1tl upgrade and they have the old school black cabinet with the base.

they should be candidates for the absolute best upgrades. xovers, connectors, internal wiring, external treatments...everything! GREAT KARMA!

Thanks guy's things are tight, but Sal I wish you didn't do this. I have been through much tougher times than this, and may be again. Guys please withdraw your offers, and let Sal keep his speakers. I hope I am not coming off as an ingrate. You guys are the best.

Thanks
Ben

It is up to Sal. If he wants to withdraw that is fine. Otherwise it is the least we can do for you.

Stay strong Ben,

Sorry Joe, I saw your post. It's just that I have met Face before, He's been to my house, I know him. I don't know you.

Ben, are you still making cables?

I understand Ben's feelings toward the Karma. I'm sure most of us have been in a similar situation. I think that if he is and people want to help then we should all buy his cables and add a premium to the price for his time. For example, if he makes a pair of silver ICs that he sells for $100, send him $120 or whatever. That way Ben gets the satisfaction that his products are well worth more than he charges and we feel like we're helping.

Just an idea, and if he's not making cables at this time it can be disregarded.
Otherwise I plan on order a few sets of ICs in a week or two and am more than willing to help.

I guess I understand. Still seemed kind of cold. But it's cool, I knew you guys had met before. It actually wasn't you as much as Face sliding in there when nobody was looking.

If things don't pan out with Face send me a pm if you wish. I am in the Hunterdon County area and work in Middlesex so I am not to far from you.

I don't mean to @#$% on any posts or good will, but this isn't even really a karma... it's a sale. It'd be cool to keep the whole Karma concept FREE.

Good luck with everything Ben, and I understand your perspective on this as well.

Joe,

I didn't "slide in" while nobody was looking, I posted it right on the forum. Take your crying somewhere else, thanks.

I agree with Joe. Sounded like a done deal. Face then offers a trade and the deal is off. How does a trade benefit Ben? In my world when an agreement is reached we honor the deal. My two cents.

Just so it doesn't sound as I'm screwing Ben, I did offer $ via a PM.

Face, Ok so maybe we were looking but you still slid in there.

And I am not crying. It would take alot more then some speakers. And Face, I am sure you would have been upset if someone had done it to you. Just saying that's all.

By the way I didn't call you out. I said my peace if it hurt you can go cry somewhere else also.

Thanks for the back-up Fongolio, I thought I was going nuts.

First off, the seller has the right to sell to whoever he wants to. I showed interest in form of a trade, and he agreed. I didn't say, "F that guy Joe".

I would consider calling me a snake the same as calling me out, I am anything but. I don't say anything I'm not willing to back up.

Joe08867

Whatever, I don't have the need or time to argue with you. I got ticked when I was ignored by the original poster and when you told me to go cry somewhere else. Let's forget the whole thing.

I don't need to get banned for trying to help Ben out and get something for myself. You think you are right I think you are wrong. Let's just leave it alone before there is bad blood for no real reason.

I am cool if you are? Alright???

It is poor form by the seller to honor the 3rd person in line unless it's stated in the initial post that he will only sell to those he knows. It's not really Face's fault or Joe's fault it's Las's error.

If he only wanted to sell to a "known" Polkie he should have stated that upfront. All sellers are free to conduct business how they like but picking Face over Joe when Joe expressed interest first is just bad form.

Ed bowed out and Joe was next based on how the original post read. A simple disclaimer by Las stating he would only sell to a known Polkie would have avoided this whole mess.

That being said good luck guys

H9,

I stated this "If for some reason people want to pay more then every cent I get will go towards Ben's new furniture."

I wanted a war, I wanted bidding, and I want the person with the highest bid to win. Then Ben gets more funds.

I haven't agreed to sell them or trade or blow them up yet.

Yes, you are correct phuz, this is a sale. the funds raised will go to Ben.

I'm offering a pair of $237 speakers for 100 bucks. This is a very good deal and it is still a karma because I loose out 100%

Las, your intentions were great, but the execution was just a bit off. It was confusing. Anyways, next time we will all know to make things a bit clearer to avoid confusion. I don't blame your for not wanting to sell your speakers at a loss now that it turned out to be a straight sale and not for then benefit of helping Ben get some furniture. :)

You're Correct H9, I'm pulling them off. Ben doesn't want the money and now people don't want to be known as the person who took the speakers anyhow.

what a twisted turn on this one....since karma has no price one can still have good karma selling an item way below its worth....and then turning the funds over to another....it doesnt have to be free for good karma...it was a great deal on great speakers to help another...then post got side tracked and in the end total derailment..i still feel that the karma Gods will shine upon you for your efforts and good intentions ;)

Well sort of.............the thread died when Ben expressed he didn't want Sal to sell his speakers to raise money for him. At that point it should have ended, but people started jumping on the great price Sal offered them up at.

Sal should pull them and then decide if he still wants to sell them and relist them in the FM.

I also agree Karma doesn't have to be entirely free. This whole thread fizzled early on when the original intent went away. :)

The term Karma is used loosely here to describe giving something cool away to a fellow community member. I brought this idea from another forum over to this one, and I hope that it continues as what it was and has always been - a give away to help promote a sense of community and good will to those with the same interests and love for the hobby.

Once you start getting money involved - no matter what the final result or intent - it looses it's principle.

I call 'em like I see 'em, and this was a SALE to help benefit another member, and a darn good one at that. I'm not knocking the idea in fact I think it rocks, but "Karma" as done here is giving stuff away for free. Maybe we can start calling it something else so that there is no confusion as to what we do here vs. real karma... but I still think karma is a good term to use in the same way I saw it used on the SIG forum.

I am sorry this got blown out of proportion.

If I had any idea this would happen I would have just sent a PM and called it a day.

Please move on, Nothing to see here.
