Picked up this rack today. Lovan Sovereign HIFI 10" rack with Maplewood shelves. Here is a LINK (http://www.racksandstands.com/L-SOV-FMT-L-SOV-HF-XX-L-SOV-XXXX-LV1090.html) for the specs. Really nice rack, solved a huge percentage of my vibration/isolation issues with my crap turntable.
Kind of funny that the rack costs way more than the equipment that is currently sitting on it.....about 7x more had I paid full price on the rack. Soon enough that will change. :D
Eventually I'd like to get a second one, only a mater of time.

Looking good Mark!
Are all those albums you are looking to get rid of?
Please tell me that is NOT your itty bitty tv that you actually watch?:eek::eek:

No, those albums are my person collection. The albums I'm selling are separate. :D
No that is not my TV! That's for my ipod dock so I can go through my ipod.

Upon the recommendation of a forum member, I split the rack and redid the entire system. I also set up my second power conditioner so now the Jolida is on one and all the other components are on the other. I also added isolation blocks under the turntable and added isololation pads under the Jolida. Can't decide if I like how it looks 2x2 instead of 4x1. YES, I know I need longer speaker cables.....soon enough. Any comments/recommendations on how I set it up?

Damn, Mark. You stood in my basement not many months ago and proclaimed no interest in vinyl at all. Now you may have more albums than I do. Where the hell are you getting them??? Also kinda cool how (I think) I recognize some of the albums simply from the spline colors. Picked out the ELO double right away.

Things change quickly. I went from 0 albums when I saw you to what I have in those racks now. :p

Throw the Ipod in the trash, use your PC for a music server, and get some longer speaker cables.

Nice looking rig. I wish I had a decent-size space like that to spread out in, right now I'm not sure if my hi-fi is in the room or the room is in the hi-fi.

Do you hear any difference now that you split the rack in 2?

Ricardo, it's a DRASTIC different. The imaging has completely changed and the whole overall sound of the rig is new, even though all the equipment is the same. I like it significantly better.

I have always advocated not having any object in between speakers whether they be floor standing or bookies on stands. Leaving that space open and free at the tweeter and midrange level makes a HUGE difference in the soundstage.

I found the same thing, getting the rack away from the speaks was nice SQ bump I did not expect, also I like the way it looks. Its 2-channel baby, no bs, a man amp and some speaks.

Wish someone would buy my tall rack so I could go to something more like what you have. Anyone local / near dallas interested in a nice BDI stand? I tried to sell it locally with no luck.
Where do you go to get a good deal on those Lovans anyhow? That's exactly what I'd be looking for in my next rack. Stackable (unstackable), solid looking, and easy on the eyes.

I personally would like to thank you for removing the amplifier off the top of the FREAKIN TV SET. :D

Umm, it wasn't a TV???:confused::confused::confused: it was the monitor for the output of my video ipod......nothing more, nothing less...no cable, no satellite, just ipod monitor output.

Racks and Stands seems to be the cheapest. I got mine on craigslist luckily.

Just saw this, thanks madmax...it's getting there. Now that the green stuff is flowing back in hopefully it can be finished.
