Dual TT on ebay

I am bidding on one of these on ebay, I heard that Dual is a oretty decent TT

Some Duals are really nice, I have the 1228. After I changed out the cartridge to a new Ortofon OM-20 Super and got it set up, it does a pretty good job. It even did better than I expected tracking the Stereophile Magazine test LP. There is a seller on eBay called "Boohey" I think his name is, and he reconditions Duals with original parts & sells them direct or through eBay. That is where I got mine. Never seen the one you are looking at though. From what I understand, belt drive & idler wheel drive (sometimes called "rim drive" tables are quieter than direct drive models.

thanks for the info. I won the TT and it only cost 152.35 A bargain compared to its 700.00 price tag in 1979-80
