I don't know; I like Denon and own one....but $14,0000 for a processor/amp combo? I think that if I was going to pay that much Denon would not be in my list.

Exactly. Perception is reality. If you slap a Bose badge on it..it would sell, just not to anyone who cares about sound quality.
