Does anyone have any experience with the Yamaha S1800 universal? MY C750 quit on me yesterday so I'm in need of a new DVD/SACD player. Thanks.

I have a couple denon options available FS in the market here.

Haven't heard the Yammy or seen reviews, but it looks pretty solid.

Thanks Andy, yeah I saw what ya had up there in the flea market. I have a Yamaha receiver and would like to keep the components matched. The S1700 looks like an option as well. 100.00 less than the 1800. The only difference I noted is in the DAC's. Still would like to know if anyone has any comments on either of these before I decide on something.

I've just picked up a brand new Denon DVD-757 (plays both DVD-A and SACD) at CC for $69.97 (clearance price). You may want to check it out at your local CC store . Also they had the Denon AVR-757 7.1 A/V receiver for $229.97 as well ... I also bought 5 Boston Acoustics Bravo II for $39 each, still searching for two more to complete the set in my kitchen/small dining area ... The sub is going to be the Polk PSW 150, A-30 for the HD-DVD ($108) and the BD Sony BDP-S1 (get it at Sears for $141.97).:)

I found a brand new black DV S5860 for 99.87 from onecall.com. No HDMI but don't need it, as it stands right now anyway, so I was able to save some $. Looks to be a decent budget player and same specs as my C750. Should hold me over for now. Hopefully when new BR's become available they will incorporate SACD as well. Just being patient and conservative until newer products hit the market before going HD.

For the DVD-S1700? I am also looking at this model, what fixes are required?
