Long story short: I'm trying to utilize my zone 2 feed to the speakers in my mstr. bathroom. Up until now they were being fed from B ch.
I have only the speakers wired off the surr. back/ zone 2 binding posts, nothing going to the preouts.
I set it up in the rcvr. menu for amp ssignment, switch the selector to zone 2, turn zone 2 on, and nothing!!! (Both with main on & off) If I set the spkrs. to surr. back and 7 ch. stereo, I get sound. The manal is a little vague. It says I can run it to an int. amp, but also says I can just run it to spkrs. ?
I know I'm missing a step, but the damn OM isn't telling me whole story.
Hoping someone here is familiar with this rcvr.
Thanks

Hi,
I have a 1082 so I dont know if this is the same. The denon manual is criptic at best. I think you can only use analog sources if i remember correctly. You need to select multi zone by pressing the receiver button until multi displays, then select the source. Try radio first since its analog only. If you want to use a digital source then connect an rca cord to give you an analog path also. Hope that helps.

Been playing email tag w/ Denon T.S. & discovered that you can ONLY use L/R rca inputs for zone 2. Also discovered you can't pick the source via the remote, must be done on the unit!
Thanks for playing though.
