So here's how it played out in central Iowa yesterday.
2pm - Sunny Mid 60's
3pm - Clouds roll in
4pm - Light rain
5pm - Thunderstorms, cooling off
9pm - Rain changing to sleet
2am - 4 to 5 inches of snow on the ground
This is one of the craziest winters I can remember. Can't wait for it to end!

Sounds like similar stuff we have around here.
Mid 70's yesterday
Late afternoon storms start to roll in
Late evening/overnight severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings issued
This morning temps in the 40's and still dropping
This afternoon evening temps to be in the 30's and a chance of snow and temps dropping below freezing over night.

cmy330go - I was at the farm outside of Des Moines all weekend. What an incredible mess of snow melt and mud! It took $10 at the car wash Sunday night before I took off for IL to get all the mud off the truck! I left before the cool down and snow on Sunday, but it was snowing in Belvidere IL this moring when I left for work. Enough of this already!

Here in NY yesterday the sun was out for a while but then it got dark for like 10 hours and the temp dropped. Then all of a sudden it was light out again when I woke up. Global warming is real folks!!!!!!!!

That sucks. I was actually considering driving down there in the next week or two just to get a little bit of warm weather. Maybe I should look elsewhere.

Don't worry, it's supposed to be back in the mid 50's tomorrow and then back up into the 60's and 70's by this weekend.
It's been snowing now for about 5 hours or so. Here's a few pics I just took. http://flickr.com/photos/bertrandclan/

It is going to snow another 25-35 cm here. Stores have run out of snowblowers and there is now a rash of snowblower thefts.....it even made the news.

Round two started up here in DFW. This was about five minutes ago. It was a beautiful spring day and around 65 or 70 yesterday. This is awesome.
