I have the KDS 60 A3000. I am trying to run all my audio (PS3 and DVD) in to the tv and use the analog outs to the pre amp. I only have a 3.1 system until I move everything down stairs.
I have not been able to get any signal out of the analog outs other than the catv coax.
I have super vid with analog out in to tv in 1 and hdmi from playstation to hdmi input.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Steve

Silly question, but did you go into the Audio Options and set the Speakers setting to "Audio System". This will disable the TV speakers and output through the Audio Outs. If that doesn't work, then I'd have to say that the TV will not pass HDMI audio through the Analog outs. If that's the case, then you are SOL, unless you can find some way to use the optical output (optical/analog converter?)

Thanks for replying bill. The instruction manual is a joke. So I called 1800 sony-outsourced-overseas. I could hardly understand the person trying to help me. His connection advise was to run out from dvd to analog out on the tv so I was sure at that point I was going to be more successful on my own. Well not really.
It seems that this would be an easy thing to accomplish. So I then called Best Buy where I bought the tv. A nice young lady answered the phone after I called back two times and was transfered three times until I got someone in home theater.
The nice young lady listened intently to my situation and gave me the following advise:
1: The analog out put is only for analog input...So no HDMI to analog out.
2: You don't need to turn off the tv speakers.
So ......In the manual when you leave the speakers on it makes the analog output a variable out put and the tv speakers will still be on in conjunction with your home theater speakers. This is not what I wanted. I tried to explain this to her with no avail.
Once again I ended the conversation with a Thank You. Now frustrated
more than ever I dreaded going home to face the monster.
I went inside and sat on the couch and said a little prayer to God to give me the strength! I turned everything on and was preparing to go into the menu section of the tv when I realized.....
F>CK an @ IT IS WORKING!....PS3 HDMI to tv and analog out to Pre....WORKING! I did not change anything.
F U Sony....F U Best Buy.....

You may find that it will work with a stereo signal, but not with 5.1 signals. I found this to be a problem with virtually all TVs. Your trick would be to disable Dolby Digital in your STB, DVD, etc and make sure that they only send stereo signals.
