View Full Version : Klh Asw15-200
Well it finally arrived, a heavy SOB that thing is... Placing it in my room has once again caused me to re-decorate things a bit.
I have only had it playing at very minimal volumes (parents home) but I have already gained some quick impressions.
As already expected, this thing is anything but accurate. This is KLH - so that almost goes without saying. I feel the 9's have more then enough bass for the softer tracks. The KLH's job is for my hip hop, modern rock, and even some dance/techno. In short -I just want noise.
Im pleased to say it gives just that, quite a bit for the price, I must say.
Ah well, hopefully sometime this week an opportunity will present itself and I can let her rip..

What did you expect?
Does it play? Be happy
It plays perfectly - which is all I need it, or expect it to do.

Boom away I say.
If you want the truth, this is part of a vengance thing. The neighbors alongside the house (on the side of my room) are complete *******s.
I have a few suprises for them..

not that i'm looking for a KLH sub.. but just curious.. what did that run in $? and why KLH?
Danger Boy,
A reasonable question....
It ran for $261.00 total
Why KLH? For a number of reasons.
A) I feel they make a great product for the dollar. Since I am not paying for this sub, I have no complaints.
B) This is not meant to blend with the 9's. The 9's provide me with more then enough bass for most of the music I constantly listen to. The KLH is just there for hip hop and other heavy bass tracks - when Im in the mood to crank some volume....
There is a C) , but I forgot what that was already.
LOL

Try adding some extra fill. This should tighten things up a bit.

Check this ebay auction out. Not a bad price. Subwoofer looks pretty good too.

There she is alright. She is a beast, a heavy beast at that.
However, I am content that I made this purchase through Bestbuy, because it will most likely be going back. Once the Rotel comes I cannot use this sub. The connections on the back are spring clip - the worst I have ever seen. Im sure replacing them will void any warrenty, in fact Ive probably in a round-about way done that with the filling.
I tell you boys one thing, its not accurate, but when placed right it can actually sound quite natural for rock and hip hop. Also one loud son of a bitch - - - shook the whole house.
I highly recommend it to anyone that just wants very cheap - loud - bass.

If you cracked the seal (even figuratively), the warranty is void. So, when you removed something to add fill you morally obliterated your ability to take this thing back. If it goes back now, you'll have to essentially lie about it, and Santa don't like dat game.
Burdette,
Just got off the phone with KLH - the guy said it would be no problem. Hopefully he is a man of their word.
Moralls? Who has time for that.. LOL
