Are there any dvd/cd players that play flac format ? I have searched but can't seem to find any.

I don't think any mainstream standalone CD/DVD player will play flac files.
The only standalone unit I am aware of that decodes flac files is the Slim Devices's SB3.

Thanks for the fast response.. I couldn't find anything on the SB3, only the squeezebox.
The SB3 is the Squeezebox v3. The current model is the Squeezebox Duet from Logitech.

Flac is great, but don't expect general support for it anytime soon.
Use Software to convert it to a supported format. Or turn it into a standard
audio cd.
