SACD sub hum or none

Trying to get sub to work while playing SACD

Components:

HK AVR335
Cambridge DVD89

I didn't have an RCA hooked from sub out(DVD89) to in on the 335 and got nothing. Then I put an RCA in and now I get a serious hum. I have the AVR in 6 channel direct. All speakers are set up as small in AVR and DVD. All other channels work fine.

You might check to see if your sub set to LFE on the sub itself.
