Hi all,
I'm putting up for sale a pair of the BIG ONES. I bought these a few months ago, and they are very good speakers, but not quite right for me. Asking $1,700, with pickup in the Toledo, Ohio area. Delivery in the area can be discussed.
63-3/4" H x 21" W x 13" D; 185 pounds. Serial numbers 5070 and 5076.
Functionally fine, with some cosmetic flaws, including grill cloth wear on the sides, wear on the wood corners. Some TLC with fine steel wool and wood polish would go a long way. Original cable included. I'll be happy to provide more details for anyone seriously interested.

Yes they are, but only 13" deep, so I can picture someone picking these to use on either side of a big TV screen. Their relatively shallow depth and reasonable width would make them fairly unobtrusive next to a screen of similar height.
Maybe it's sacrilegious to mention these for home theatre use?

They not so big, I'm bigger!, I weigh the same as both of them together!, LOL

IMO, those speakers belong nowhere near a tv screen. Those go someplace special where it's all about what you hear, not what you see. Turn the lights down, close your eyes, and you'll be in heaven with those.

Good luck with your sale. What kind of TT is that in the backround?
TTT...
Still enjoying the DMT's?

The turntable is an Acoustic Solid (not mine). It is gorgeous AND sounds great.
Yup, still enjoying the DMTs as bookshelf speakers, but comparison with Polks was more with high-end two-way horn-loaded (bigger and messier and much more DIY than the DMTs OR the Polks!).

Very nice!
I like your turntable, is that a Scott integrated amp on the stand? There is also a nice piece of tube gear on the floor.
Good luck with the sale!

There was someone from the toledo area listing a pair of these for $1700 opening bid on e-bay. I'm about 3 hours from Toledo and several hundred short of $1700. Best wishes on the sale, in any case!

+1.
And I'd get some dollies so I could wheel them outside for summer parties.

I moved from Toledo last year. If I still lived there, these would be sold already. I have some friends in the area who may be interested, but don't read these forums. I will let you know.
