Hello people I just wanted to introduce myself now that I am a new Polk owner. My name is Phil. I dont post here a lot but am on the avs and the audioholic forums under the names audiofreak38 and speakerman39 respectively. My new set-up consists of the following:
Fronts: Rti6's
Center: Csi3
Rears: Rti4's
R. Surr: RtiA4's
LFE: Mirage Omni S10
32" Vzio 768p LCD
Toshiba A-3 HD DVD Player (soon to be a blue-ray player)
Onkyo 705 Receiver
eD eQ.2 Parametric EQ (on oder and paid for)

Anyways, my new dedicated ht room is just a little less than 750 ft. ^3. I will be moving into my new home in just a few weeks. Mt ht room has a flat 7' ceiling and fully enclosed. The eQ.2 will help me tame any in-room peaks thus flattening out my freq response. The eQ.2 also has a subsonic or high-pass filter that will also be quite useful depending on in-room placement. I plan on getting a br player when the prices come down to more affordable levels. Lastly, feel free to share your thoughts or offer any suggestions. I could use all the help I can get as I strive to get the most out of my gear. Thank you for your time. Have a great day and God Bless. :):)

Hey Phil,

Hope you're liking your Polks...even when you get to a larger room that's still going to be a nice system...even the sub ;). I know you're picky about your music. Be sure to comment on the strengths and weaknesses you notice.

Welcome to CP :)

Well, I go have a new Canon but have not really had any extra time to take a few snap shots. I will try to get a few up but may wait till I am in my new place. Personally, I can NOT wait!!!!!:p:p

Hey Ron how is it going? Thanks for posting as it is always good to hear from you. Well, when I move into my new place my new ht room is going to be much smaller NOT larger. :D:D You are right in that I am a bit picky about my music albeit tight, punchy, well articulated bass. With that said, the Omni S10 has not let me down. However, on some kick drums I do wish they were a little more pronounced. Part of this is due to the large room it is in now ~3000 ft.^3 and the other it is NOT being fully calibrated. Chances are, I will wait till I move into my new place before full calibration. In fact, only have the Rti6's hooked up along w/the S10. Keep in mind, that once I move into my new home my new ht room is only ~750 ft. ^3. Plus, I will run Auddessey and check with my handy new RS SPL meter. In about 6-8 weeks I should have my Elemental Designs eQ.2 that will allow for more precise tuning-taming room peaks and employing the subsonic (high-pass) filer just above 20 Hz or so. Hopefully, this will result in a flatter in-room response and offer a bit more head-room down lower. Perhaps even tightening the bass up even more. Of course, a lot will depend on finding the best location for my sub placement. Will have some pics up by then too. Maybe you could offer me some tips as I know you know your stuff. Thanks once again for posting Ron.
