Recently bought an Adcom GFA 5500 from Tom T (thanks for the great deal, Tom!). Relegated my NAD C320Bee IA to preamp duty, hooked up the Adcom, spun Robert Cray, "Shame + a Sin" & whooooo doggies!, what a difference!

I've loved my NAD - it's a terrific IA - but the Adcom makes my RTA12C's SINGALICIOUS! The NAD packs a lot into its 50 wpc, but the Adcom brings much more power & finally graduates me into Cfrizz's 200 wpc club. I'm listening to Eric Clapton's, "Me and Mr. Johnson" right now &, while I'm not hearing anything I've never heard before, I'm hearing everything waaaaay better than I've ever heard it before!

The Adcom digs deeper into & tightens the bass & adds incredible slam & punch! These are terms that I've not understood - until now. My speakers have bloomed and literally everything sounds much clearer than ever before.

Wow! I just joined Ben's Adcom fan club & I couldn't be happier! Just diggin' the music! Whooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

It's the slam, and the hits that Adcom has Amazed me with.

:D Congrats BF!!!! Enjoy relistening to all of your favorite music with your new POWER amp!

I don't just push 200wpc to be pushing it. I push it because it makes a BIG difference. If it didn't I wouldn't have it for myself or suggest it for others.

Enjoy!:)

You and that 200 watts Cathy. You crack me up. [in a good way, of course] ;)

I clicked on to see what you had typed just knowing it had something to do with that "200". :D

It did.

:D It's not my 200 it's BF's 200 that has him woo hooin all over the place!

All I did was congratulate him for finding out for himself.

All I want is for people (who are interested) to get the best that they can out of their speakers, hopefully the first time around by purchasing more than adequate power.

You and that 200 watts Cathy. You crack me up. [in a good way, of course] ;)
