After my recent purchase of the Harmony ONE I now have up for sale my URC, MX-950 remote control. This unit is rated 9/10 and was purchased over a year ago or possibly longer (can't seem to find the receipt at this moment) from Surf Remote Control. The unit comes with everything that you see in the pics. This is one amazing remote that I really hate to get rid of but I just wanted some simplicity in programming my remotes everytime I purchase a new peice of gear. Asking price for this unit is "SOLD" to ohskigod Payment accepted will be Money Order or Paypal (+4.5%). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

WHAT? You went from a 950 to a Harmony? Might as well sell your HT for a set of iPod earbuds while you're at it.
I'm considering buying this even though I already have one and two 850's.

I kind of figured someone was going to ask this question. With my system being so complicated to turn on (atleast thats what my wife says) I wanted something downstairs she and the kids could use, granted, she never goes downstairs without me but if the day ever comes, I just didn't wanna get the treaded phone call with the very beginning of the conversation starting off as, "I think I screwed something up".

I'm looking for a universal and I saw your posting. I'm looking for something to control the media set-up (prepro, amp, DVD player), yet simple enough that my fiance can sit down and watch TV or a movie without having to learn anything. I was looking also looking at the Logitech 880. How easy is the MX-950 to program and is it female friendly?

If you've never programmed a URC remote before there may be a little learning curve ahead of you, BUT, once you get the hang of it, it's very simple to program. If programmed correctly, it's just as user friendly as a Harmony remote just having alot more ability to customize.

Harmony remotes are as user friendly as OEM cable box remotes IMO. URC remotes are as good as the program within them. If you can understand programming and how equipment works, you cannot get a better remote. I'm still fighting to not buy this just because. I hope I don't sell anything soon otherwise this is mine.

Grim, any way you can give me a day to research this? if no, thats cool. you had it on here for a while, I only saw it today by chance.
been entertaining the use of a universal remote.
I know I can get it to work for the Outlaw. am I assuming I should be able to get this to work for Oppo, TV, Outlaw pre/pro, dare I ask....the Sony Playstation 3?
I really am a Universal remote Newb of the highest order. the closest thing I have to a universal remote is the Outlaw remote that I have the TV and cable progeammed into, and even then its not the most user friendly.
from the posts above, I assume the price is right here..lol

Oh, the price is right, no doubt about it, new they list for $699. Beings I had prior dealings with you Lou, which were excellent I must say (how's that 990 by the way) I have no problem holding off before slamming it on ebay. If you'd like, PM me your email addy and I can try (rather large file) and send you the MX-950 Editor software to toy around with.

I cannot figure out why this hasn't sold. The only reason it's not on it's way to my place is because I don't get my income tax for a few more days to a week and I already have enough remotes, doesn't mean I don't want another. Damn this electronics addiction.
