Thinning the herd further.

Harman Kardon PA-2000 2/4 Channel Amplifier

4 x 45 w/cont or 2 x 100 w/cont. Great, solid power amplifier - I've been running a pair of these in the whole house rig, and I'm moving to something smaller for the bedroom / outdoor zones which are hardly ever used.

As clean as they come, loads of features including level control for each channel, signal pass through, and auto on when signal is present. $old DaveMuell

Polk Audio PSW-111 Powered Subwoofer

The new budget baby sub from Polk. Big bass in a small package. Used sparingly in a bedroom system on the preouts of an iSonic (unbeatable setup!). Room has been rearranged, the sub simply doesn't have a place to sit anymore. Original owner, box, manual, everything. $115 to your door.

I sold one of those HK amps to Sami a few years back. It's a very nice amp, and hard to beat for 200 clams. I liked the auto-on feature, sensing a signal through the RCA and not having to use a 12v trigger.

While great overall , I liked it best when I used it to power the low end of the RTi150 when I had those. Any of you guys out there wanting to bi-amp some big speakers should definitely take a good look at the HK.

Thanks, it really suprised me how robust they are and how good they sound for being a 'brick and mortar' brand. Lots of guts, plenty of current.

Russ, I'm actually driving the DQ10's with the one I got from Danny. Not an easy task but it does it without complaints. I don't crank them up very loud but even at decent volumes it's a very clear and nice sound.

If DQ-10's aren't a glowing endorsement, I don't know what is.

One of you local yokels need a sub?

I need a subwoofer. Is this seriously underpowered or will it work decently for a while? Most of my listening is music, but I do a little HT. I have RTi6's and R50's currently. Should I save my money for a better sub? If it's good for the price then I will take it.

Its a good small subwoofer. No problems power wise, not a bottom feeder obviously. It's a Franklin, what can I say?

I will patiently wait in line, no brainer for a small bedroom set-up, tick, tock, tick tock.

Carlos, you don't have to wait for anyone. First come, first served. That is whoever says 'its mine' first gets it. If I waited for everyone to ponder this or that, I'll never get anything on down the road.
