Howdy folks!

I just got a pair of LSi15's and I'm curious the best way to "tune" them. I'm powering them with a Sony STR-DE1075 in a relatively small room. It's currently paired with a KLH-ASW8-120 subwoofer (yeah it sucks, but it's only temporary).

The biggest question I have is how to set the cross-over frequencies & gain for the treble, mid, and bass ranges. The ranges are:

Treble: 1Khz-10Khz
Midrange: 198Hz-10Khz
Bass: 99Hz-1.0Khz

Each range has a 0-10dB gain.

I fiddled around with them for an hour and I can never seem to get it tweaked just right. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks!

That's the EQ function of that unit is there's no reason to use anything but the defaults. Reset it and forget it.

My suggestion if you insist on using the EQ part [though I would lean toward not using it] would be to lower the frequencies before you do any boosting of frequencies and even then, move only a minimal amount. If they are strictly gain, follow Doro's advice and go back to default and never look back.

Congrat's on the speakers and welcome to Club Polk.

Holy shite!

I just did a reset back to default settings on the receiver and it sound MUCH better. Something must have been way out of whack from years ago when i first set it up for my old speakers.
