I should have gotten one of those Entechs a couple years back when they were so plentiful, but hindsight is 20/20.

I just need 2ch DAC, to run from my PC's optical, dig coax, or USB. I'm thinking my budget is $75 or less. $50 would be great.

I can't stand my Audigy anymore, so its going bye bye.

I'm just need something decent but cheap. Planning to mate it with a T-amp and power a pair of bookshelf monitors.

At around $80, this is about the cheapest new DAC I've seen.

not exactly what you are asking for, but this soundcard sounds killer for 2 channel stuff, and is only a bit above your budget. absolutely kills consumer soundblaster stuff. i have one, and love it.

Thanks guys. I was really hoping that someone had a used Entech (or similar) that they didn't want anymore.

CBER, I know about the M-audio 24/96, and I almost bought a used one from a fellow Polkie a whle back, but I decided I don't want anything inside the computer anymore. Either an external sound card (like M-audio's USB version of the 24/96), or a plain old DAC and I used my Motherboards audio to output Optical or Dig Coax.
