All,
My Compaq x1000 laptop screen, bought in Jan 2004, has start developing a pinkish tint color during initial boot up. Once it gets into Vista screen, it is normal again (i.e. once it gets warm, the color is pretty much back to normal). Is this an early indication that the screen is about to reach its normal life? Other than that, it's running great, I upgraded the HDD and RAM last year, so it works fine for the normal typical activities. So, what is the typical life of LCD screen on laptop?
I supposed I could hook it up to an external monitor if the inevitable happened, but I rather be prepared.
