I've had my 46807, 46" 16:9 for almost 2 years, runs great. Had it ISF'd back in February and the picture is stunning. Great TV!

Peace Out~:D

Have you Mits owners had to do much calibrating and tweeking to get your desired picture quality?

I've done the basics, S&V Magazine Home Theater Tune Up Disk, 64 pt convergence.

I think it's a good tv for the money. I see you are in 'Sconsin. You wouldn't happen to be shopping for the Mits at American TV, would you? I work at one in Des Moines.

You are right, American TV in Madison, WI. Really have it narrowed down to the Mits 55411 or the Toshiba 57hdx82 or the next smaller Toshiba hdx set.

Any information you can give me on those sets?

Maybe you know or can email me privately if you know if either of these 2 sets are going on sale anytime in next 2 months. I bought my polks/Denon at American and was surprised that I didn't receive a $100 off a purchase over $1000 coupon during December, but the sales guy said that promotion won't probably be around again until Feb or March 2003. rlightfoot2@hotmail.com
thanks.

How important is it to have an HDTV that is DVI? This Mits doesn't have it, the Toshiba does.

it's the dirty little secret retailers and manufactuers aren't telling.
get if you can but only time will tell if we need dvi.

It's a controversial subject and I read the dvi encryption is still not the standard the industry wants!!!!! LOL -- that's why I'm just learning to enjoy my Toshiba( w.o dvi) for the moment.

Even if dvi comes through there will always a way around it.

olny dvi is good for is if you want to hook your comp up to your tv but this is still not as good as adding a high def card to your comp. some day i will hook my comp up to my tv when i have a spare 1k
