Just picked up some old Monitor 10s with the Peerless tweeters. The previous owner told me that when he got them each speaker had a different fuse. One had a 10 amp while the other had a 3 amp. Playing it safe he decided to run the three amp on both speakers. I just blew both fuses turning up my Sansui 7070 to about 11:00 so I need to replace them.

Thanks

Mike

1a 250v.

Thanks. Is the 3A going to hurt anything till I get the correct fuses?

Thanks again

Mike

No, you should be fine, just keep the volume knob on a leash.

You can get the 1a fast-acting fuses at Radio Shack or an auto parts store.

When I picked up my Monitor 7s I had one with a 1a fast-acting and the other had a 1a slow-acting. I got a box of four 1a fast-acting from Radio shack for 1.99 or so and replaced both fuses at the same time.

The fuse itself is only for the tweeter. Your driver should still play even if the fuse is blown.
