Hi,
I guess my dog got to one of the satellites and bit into the whole frame and tweeter. So I am looking out for a satellite to complete my set again.
I understand these are definitely vintage by today's standards but if someone has one or two sitting in their garage, it would be easy for me to be able to complete my set again.
Thanks

Can you fix it with new drivers or is the cabinet ruined too? If you pull the drivers and get the part numbers maybe one of us has replacements.

Scootchu,
The cabinet is fine. Actually just the lower speaker ( sorry dont know if thats the tweeter or what) is the one that needs replacement. Would you have that part? Email me at sunilmodi at live dot com if you have something that I could use please.

Have you contacted CS at Polk? They are great, and have many parts for older speakers there. Also you could check Ebay. Every once in a while they come up. You can usually find them on the cheap, and just replace the whole unit.
Happy hunting.

Ben,
I do have an eye out on ebay. nothing really of interest there except for 5 speaker packages.
one quick question I have noticed each speaker has a serial in the back that does not match with anything else. What does that signify?

so how would I identify a speaker that I want?
Just by the series? RM Series II , in this case?

I will try and take out the broken speaker and see if it shows a part number that can be replaced. would be awesome till I upgrade.

Stick around. When you are ready to upgrade this is a good place to ask questions. I wish I did before I had to replace different components to get the sound I was looking for.
