Yes.. I'm driving across the state... for a couple days.. I haven't checked out any of the stereo shops there.. I need some recommendations. New and used would be great.

*Any Seattle area Polkies wanna grab a beer.. I'm up for that too. ;)

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

DB I wanna go!!!

Hey, if you find any stereo shops, see if they have any Dynaudio Focus 140's or 220's, would you? If you have time, please check'em out for me & lemme know what you think!

Have a terrific time, my friend!

Definitive Audio. Never been to the Seattle showroom, but I've been to the Bellevue showroom.

Nuts about Hi-Fi. In Silverdale about 40 minutes north of where your former SDA SRS's live.

They have the biggest Focal speakers I've ever seen

Closed on Sunday.

+1

The Bellevue showroom is just as good as Seattle. Great shop. Can be snooty, but they have great gear.

My house :D

Magnolia Hifi in Seattle at 6308 Roosevelt Way NE. It's basically the original store and has good equipment that other Magnolia A/Vs don't carry.

You covered the ones I knew before I moved, unless Speakerlab (where I bought my first Polks) is still right by Magnolia A/V ( I still hate that it's not Magnolia Hi-Fi anymore).

I stopped by Definitive Audio yesterday.... dang.. there is some top notch priced gear in there. I listened to some B&W, Paradigm and Magnepan 3.6's Love the Maggies. if I only had 5K ;)

Krell, NAD, Rotel, Onkyo Integra... fun times :)

I stopped by the Def Audio on Roosevelt.. I had to drop an amp off for repairs right across the street. Right next door to Definitive Audio is SpeakerLab. But I didn't have time on this trip to stop by there. I didn't know if SpeakerLab was a showroom or just the offices or what.

When I go back to pick up the amp in a few weeks.. i'll hit a few more places. :)

I was less than impressed with the entry level B&W's though. Very bloated sound in the mids and muddy sloppy bass.

I listened to the Paradigm monitor 7's, and was pretty impressed with their detail and bass in such a small tower. The Paradigm mon 11's, were to muddy in the mids, and lost some high end detail. Maybe that mon 11 is better suited for home theater over 2ch music.
