"However, if you purposely cut a couple of speaker cables so that you can take a couple of drive-in speakers home to mount on your headboard so that you're TopDog in the neighborhood, then ..... well .....
.... okay, we haven't planned for that contingency yet"

Ah,..drive-ins. Driving around to find a speaker that works, then hanging that 80 lb. weight n your door/ window, hoping it didn't tear something off, then walking to the concession stand, and trying DESPERATELY not to lose your way back.
And the sound quality of that one speaker was AWESOME!
I miss drive-ins

No they use FM broadcasting at the couple of local ones that are actually still operating around here. So when go, I get to use the stereo in the truck!

If we have a bunch of people, we take my friend's Astro Van. Nothing like Lord of the Rings with 2,000 watts of sub power behind you!

Better bring a jump box with you though. They actually had a 20 minute intermission for LOTR so people could start their cars and recharge batteries.
