Well i see tweeter got a bunch of RTi10b for $480.00 a pair looks
like a pretty fair deal.
They also have a pair of klipsch RB35s for $299.00 a pair.
I'm thinking this may be a good weekend to come home with
both and do some testing?????

Yeah baby Klipsch is back in the House of Tweeter. I love it. When we dropped them , So many of our customers where pissed off. You wouldn't believe how Klipsch customers act. You think we are bad.....DAMN!!!!
Once you go Klipch you always go Klipsch. I got customers with 20+ year old Horns and they will not even consider replacing them. "Just build a system around them" they always tell me...LOL
Yeah man we got some great deals right now. It's a very good time to come down and take advantage.
Good luck with your speaker purchase. Hope you live near a Newly remodeld store. It's a cool place to be. Alot going on. If you do make sure you get a BIG SCREEN ADVENTURE demo. It has the new RTS polk inwalls. they ROCK man. LSI based.

In the Chicago area, the website clearance section on Tweeter.com is completely inaccurate. Fortunately I called the stores before going because it would have been a waste of time. 90% of the items are either sold or reserved for another customer.

There also other stores in the "Tweeter Group" offering the same deals. Showcase Home Entertainment and Sound Advice are related companies. I got the deal on the RTi 10's at Showcase.

Well i came home with the 10s since all my other speakers are of
the RTi line i did'nt want to throw a set of klipsch speakers into the
mix. That very well may have started a total change over that i just
can't do. As the wife advised me of that.
I have a onkyo 805 and a adcom GFA-555II and with my RTi8s the
amp seem to make a somewhat small improvement. But with the adcom
and the 10s its BIG!
My music is mainly rock and metal and the bass is tight i have the sub
cranked way down.
Sounds great but its driving me nutz wondering what those RB35s sound
like?

I USED to love Tweeter, up until yesterday:mad:
Tried to buy a Pioneer VSX-92TXH floor model, and the f**kheads wouldn't sell it to me because they haven't recv'd 'official' disconinued notification.
The butt clowns at Columbia, SC are worthless without a mgr. on duty.
I KNOW the MGR would have sold it to me!!
AND I tried to leave negative feedback @ the website- would NOT go thru!

Did you ask if you could reserve it or something until they get the notice in? May be worth a try.

Nah, they were just a bunch of minimum wage guys earnig their hourly. 5 guys in the store, I'm the ONLY customer. It wasn't that long ago that they would have been all over me. Pure indifference.
This & the Greenville SC location are on reduced hours. Wonder why.
BTW, not ripping on Mantis or his employer, just miss the service I USED to get out of this locale.

Shoot me a PM and let me try to work on this. If you still want a 92, let me know and I'll see if I can make it happen for yeah. On a side note, they flew out the door. We are having trouble keeping them in stock. For the price it's a insane deal. Awesome receiver and good choice on your part.
I'm also sorry you had a bad experience.

I have been with Tweeter about 9 years now.
Sandy & Michael Bloomberg were very close friends with my Friend, His name is Chuck Ange. All three worked at recording studios and music stores and just before they opened Tweeter they asked Chuck if he wanted to be a 1/3 partner with them and he turned it down!!! Damn!!, He's told me that he still kicks himself in the ass for that.
Have you ever met either of them?

No. I have met many of the higher ups and Jeff Stone the former CEO of the company. The orignal owner of Bryn Mawr stereo and video I met when I first started. We basically talked about Polk audio and how Matt likes a good wine. They all went out to Dinner on Matt and had a hell of a meal. This was back in the 90's sometime. I think before Tweeter.

Tweeter. How I miss that store. They closed down all the stores in the Dallas area. I drove down to Houston to visit the Tweeter store down there several months ago. I absolutely dig the Focals! The profile 908's are awesome. Went back down there recently, it seems like the Focals went up in price, very much like the other over seas companies. Tried to get a deal on the Focal's but the pricing did not come up very good for me. Hook me up Mantis!!

Aw man, there was a Bryn Mawr stereo 3 miles from where I grew up. It was actually about 1/4 mile from a heathkit too.:D
Me and my brother bought our first riggs there, He got this class a yamaha amp and Klipsch Heresey speakers, that was about 1985. I bought a Alpine head unit and amp for my truck and matched them to Altec Lansing 6903's, they were carbon fibre and were ridiculous in my toyota pu, then I bought a yamaha power amp and some speakers, I can't seem to remember what they were, maybe advents or something.
I miss that place.
