I had the opportunity to preview this tonight before its release. I didn't go see it in the theater and if you haven't seen it I don't want to spoil it for you. I'll just say Rambo, John J. is the master shredder. The action is almost non-stop with very good surround sound/LFE. Not an important movie but entertaining if you like action films.

Buying this on Blu as soon as it gets released.

I was surprised at how brutal this movie was. Not a criticism - I LOVED IT. I was just shocked that Stallone took it kinda' dark. Way better than I expected it to be.
Early B.

I was very skeptical when I heard Stallone was gonna do another Rambo. Watched it last night and was thoroughly entertained. The fake blood thing was a very cool device.

Man, this was one kick ass movie. Watched it last night on BD and was really inpressed with the PQ as well as the SQ. A must buy for any Rambo fans out there.

Just finished it. Worth seeing, the over the top gore was pretty cool. It was a shorter movie than I expected, only like an hour and 20 minutes.

I went in to seeing this with very low expectations, and I just finished watching this with a huge grin on my face. Just a great shoot em up movie. No long sentences from JR. I loved how Stallone really transformed himself between Balboa and Rambo. I thought he played John perfectly in this movie.

Just watched this on blu last night. Awesome is all I can say, and it will be watched multiple times. Only criticism is that it was about 30 minutes too short.

I was reading the fan reviews on Yahoo, and this film gets a solid B+, while the critics gave it a C-. A lot of funny Liberal media comments in the viewer reviews.

I personally don't rely a whole lot on film critic reviews.

Remember when he armed the Claymore? Must've been a 'Predator' mod. LoL :D
Cool effect but Claymore's don't work like that.

He attached it to the unexploded bomb (from ww II?) that they ran across while walking through the jungle. But even still, not sure a claymore would be enough to set it off like that. The rest of it was believable though:rolleyes: Overall, much better than I expected.

I really enjoyed Rambo 4 (blu-ray) as well. Probably the best one (to me) out of the four. I got the boxed set (blu-ray) of Rambo 1-3 for Father's Day, and watched them all yesterday. Loved every minute of it. Amazing transfer to blu-ray for movies made in the 80's.

Rambo is a great throwback movie. I wasnt expecting much from it, but came away liking it quite a bit. Gotta love action flicks--I just wish the studios would release more...

Compared to First Blood, this was absolute trash. The story line had potential, but fell far short and the acting was terrible. For an action flick, it's a total waste of time and money.

I will nominate it for movie of the year. I loved it.. you have to take it for what it is.. Hollywood thrills, chills, and blood and gore. I loved it.

I'm waiting for Rambo vs. Cockpuncher. Stallone vs. Seagal. That's the movie event of a lifetime. :p

Van Damm vs Seagal would be good since they can't stand each other.

While I really enjoyed Rambo, I'd agree, compared to the First Blood, well, it doesn't, not even close. Of course, nor does most every sequel ever made. But, this was a fun, shoot'em up ride, that's all it was meant to be.
Early B.

I suppose it would be a fight for the "biggest ego in Hollywood" award. None of their movies were great.
BTW -- Segal is the real deal; Van Damm is a martial arts actor. I could kick Van Damm's ass, but I'm gonna punk out with Segal.

Van Damm was a ballet dancer in France.

Now he's just a crack head. Rumor has it that Seagal is abusive towards women. I remember reading something awhile back that Kelly LeBrock left him because of it.
