I have a $800 budget, firm. I love Polk and only want to use Polk. Will be used for Movies/Music
After reading about Polk for countless hours I have narrowed down my choice of fronts to:
New - RTi12
New - RTiA7
Used - SDA 1C
Used - RTA 15TL
I am sure I am leaving off a few. Out of those 4 what would be my best choice? Also if you have some other Polk Front's that are better for under my budget (the budget includes shipping costs as well) please tell me!
I really dig the RTi12's so if someone could also compare each set to the RTi12's that would be awesome!!!
Thanks!!
Edit: Also how do RTA 11T's compare to the RTi12's ?

You can get RTi10's at Tweeter, they are having a buy one get one free special ($480 for the pair). They are basically the same as the RTiA7's, just with a different cabinet. Its not on your list but i figured i'd throw it in there.
I'm new to all this but i picked up these speakers and they are nothing short of amazing.

so are the RTi10's better overall value than the RTi12's?
EDIT: Also compare the SDA-II Speakers to the rest of the speakers, thanks!
Sorry for being a noob.

would the rti10's be a good upgrade from my rm50t's
i was thinking move the rm50t's to rear surrounds, the rm30's to surrounds and use the rti10's for fronts then get a matching center.

RTis are nice, but 1Cs are in another class entirely. Finding the right pair can be tricky though.

My vote from the speakers mentioned would be the 1C's hands down. (put in the RDO tweeters and match with an LSiC center channel)

From what I have been reading the 1C's are great.. and the SRS 2's are nearly the same correct?
What exactly makes these vintage models better than some of the newer models?

Yep. They both are great speakers. Just make sure you have the room for them. You need about a 16 foot wall to make them work right. The SDA's just disappear when you are listening to music. Normal speakers you can tell which speaker is in what location, but SDA's when implemented correctly are just mind blowing.

so is it the fact the older polk series' have more fire power that makes it better than newer models? im still not sure.

Not really. The new one's crank plenty, and have very good sound that is really hard to beat especially at their prices. It's just the older SDA's sound stage, and acoustical accuracy is bewildering.

I think some folks prefer the SRS 2s to 1Cs. I wouldn't pass on either model if they came available. The 2Bs don't give much away either.

Ben's right, its just the strangest thing to hear for the first time. It takes a little while to actually comprehend what your hearing. I've never heard any of the true SDA's only the SRT's, and they just leave you in awe, so i could only imagine the bonfide sda's.....
You just gotta hear it to believe it.
