My right speaker is located in a corner. Of course, it's not ideal, but it's the best I can do under the circumstances. The speaker is about 18" from the back wall and about 12" from the side wall (see pics). The impact of this placement is that sounds are more easily localizable from this speaker. It's not a big deal, but I'm always open to tweaking my system. I think the bass is OK, but I can't be certain.

Here's my dilemma -- my setup is in the family room; plus, I got WAF, so I haven't installed any acoustic panels.

Here are my questions:

1. Would I realize any benefit by adding a "portable" panel to the side, corner, or rear of the right speaker?

2. Are there any other low cost options I should consider?

Thanks.

I'm thinking of buying two panels from ATS Acoustics -- one 2-inch and one 4-inch panel. They seem to be inexpensive enough to experiment with. Plus, they are 24" x 24", so they'll fit perfectly for my application. I'm not sure sure what to expect, if anything. Any advice would be appreciated.

Early, i don't know how much difference you will hear with only 2 panels but I had night/day change with (8) 24 by 48 by 4" panels

Unfortunately, multiple panels is not an option.

I'd buy (2) 24 by 48's by 4" ers and place them there when the WAF is away and then hide them in a closet when she's home ;)
