Has anyone watched this DVD?

I remember watching the VHS version of this footage about 15 years and being blown away. But I've read mixed things about the transfer of the show onto DVD. Wanted to get some other opinions to determine if its worth springing for.

I recomend it also. I'm not 100% sold on the directors cut. I kind of like the original better.
The new cut has too many computer images. Doesn't always work.
The DVD i have has both versions so no problems.

i say get it. get's regular play @ my house. director's cut? pffftt! i think he took way too many liberties. the original is the best. i like to watch echoes from pompeii 1972, then switch to gilmour's version from 'remember that night'. make sure you have the extra beverages and a BIG bowl.....of popcorn before you do;) that's almost 40 minutes of_____________.

Well, from what you guys are saying, even those who prefer the original over the the Directors Cut are in good shape getting the DVD because the transfer of the original to DVD is done with well (i.e. decent sound and picture quality). Sounds like a winner, since I've seen it available for about 12bucks on Amazon.

make sure you have the extra beverages and a BIG bowl.....of popcorn before you do;)

Gotcha!
