Anybody else like them? After falling off the face of the earth the past couple of years, they're finally coming around B-more tomorrow night. We have great seats; I can't wait to see them again!

I never really knew any songs other than "Hell". I'll have to look them up again.

I have 3 of their albums. Two others are out of print and unavailable and I could never seem to find the Christmas Album.

The album "Hot" (1996) is considered their best album and had gotten wide critical acclaim. The first official album was "The Inevitable"(1994-5?) but they had two independent albums before that that are near impossible to find. The third album was "Perennial Favorites" (1998) which also got rave critical acclaim but very little air time. I think 1998 was also the year they released the Christmas Album too. I know they did another album in '99 after they got done touring but can't remember the name offhand.

I only have "The Inevitable", "Hot" and "Perennial Favorites". "Hot" is my favorite one but "Perennial Favorites" is an excellent album and probably their best one production wise.

If you have SDA's, this band is trip to listen to on them! The sound stages are wide and deep. They just pop on SDA's! Plus that screaming brass they have on some of the tracks just makes you want to crank the volume knob past 11. They are a fun band to listen to and an extremely talented group of people. They are definitely a different sound but there is so much going on that you can't help but be interested. The production quality of every album I have is top notch. Some tracks, especially live ones, seem to be quiet but after watching the meters on the EQ jump like crazy, the quietness is likely due to a lack of compression. Means you gotta drive the equipment a little harder but the dynamic range of the recordings is impressive.

This is definitely a band everybody should check out.

I have three or four of their albums. Probably the first three or four and the Christmas album which is a MOTHER. Every song on that album is good but the slow, bluesy thing is absolutely killer. I saw them at The Electric Factory in Filthadelphia, probably close to nine or ten years ago.

Man, what a killer show! They played mostly older stuff, and rocked it. Highlights for me were Good Enough For Granddad, Danny Diamond (I was melting listening to her sing this one, with dirty looks from my wife to indicate it was quite obvious), and Suits Are Picking Up the Bill. The number that brought the house down, however, was Ghost of Stephen Foster. They had a screen drop down behind them, on which they showed a black and white cartoon video (a la Steamboat Willie) of the song. They ducked down and tore the song up while the screen told the story at the Hotel Paradise.

Looking on Amazon.com all the albums I know of are available, including Bedlam Ballroom and the Christmas album.

I almost mugged a guy in the lobby, as he had in his possesion Perennial Favorites and an EP on vinyl.

George- considering you are THE man for vinyl treasure, if you ever come across these, please remember me.
